This review is coming from a guy that has never played worms before but it can say a lot to others who never played any worms series as well. There isnt really a tutorial so youll have to learn everything by yourself (I mean everything) which can be very frustrating. On the 5th level (I think) was the level that frustrates me the worse. Took me a while to figure out how to make the jump (by using a jet pack) didnt tell me there was a menu that opens options to other arsenals. Some jumps are frustrating and the controls are just really hard to figure out like controlling flying sheep bombs. Never had a game that frustrated me so much. Got the 4th one because the first few had some negative comments in it and this one seemed most positive. 5$?? Wish I could get a refund. Once again its not really fair for me to rate the game so low because I have little knowledge on it but I didnt enjoy it so there you have it.

What a classic. This game is epic. You cant go wrong with worms, and Im glad they didnt cheese it out like most iPhone games. A little bit slow waiting for Ai worms to get done but not too bad

As a big Worms fan, I really dont like this game. First of all, everything is confusing. Second of all, the customization is horrible. You need to get "badges" or whatever its called to get costumes, which is horrible. But I do like how each Worm can get customized, and what I mean is that each Worm can have different costumes. The campaign is great though, and I like the idea of Red vs Blue. But its still not worth your money. Youd be better of with Worms 3 or Worms 2.

UPDATE: after deleting, redownloading from iCloud, and opening my progress reloaded. So I upped to a 3-star to compromise. Played for a few days, made good progress. Suddenly it lost everything and Im starting over. Next step is deletion, total waste of time.

just two persons can play multiplayer its very bad I expect its better than worms 3 please fix it in update or enable worm 3 instead of worm 4 thanks.

I hate this game. They took away the turn based mode so now both players have to be on worms at the same time to play

Lost all progress after many hours of play... Tried to reinstall, no luck

Graphics are cool and new weapons are awesome. I purchased at a sale price of .99 which is a deal. Major set back, is the only way to play online with real friends is through Facebook. Should patch ASAP!

Okay, so how do I start? Awesome game. Ill be doing many comparisons to Worms 3, however. Worms 3 was one of my favorite mobile games of all time. Loved it. This one is also pretty good though. Lets begin with the graphics. They are amazing. Way better than Worms 3. I love the style of it, looking paper mache-ish and unique. Now lets talk controls. They are almost identical to Worms 3 but only one jump button (hold down for high jump and tap for far but short jump). Also, campaign. It feels much more like a campaign with assigned items instead of collecting them. Lots of the levels feel like mini-games. The campaign has death matches, your basic worms experience. But, it also has crate collects, running through the map making strategies how not to get hit by the turrets or mines. Then there is body count mode. Kill as many weak worms as you can before they kill you! More about campaign than the actual modes. There is multiple campaigns, each with a different theme. I liked that because it wasnt just the same design for each level. There wasnt as many new weapons as I had hoped. They changed how some weapons work. Made some stronger, some weaker, that was a disappointment other than the few they added. I liked the new character customization. All characters are different now. In the previous games, changing one worms feature would change it for the rest of them as well. In this, you unlock new customizable so and have a limited number of them. Next off, weapon upgrades. There are different tier of weapon upgrades. Those work just like the clothes. Also, they kept pass and play, one of my favorite Worms features with my friends. But as any game does, it has its downsides. Fall damage is much much much easier to take in the game, whereas worms 3 it was that you actually had to fall from a logical distance to take fall damage. Also, the moving feels so much more clunky, whereas in Worms 3 you could more freely. Also, maps are much smaller with less room to do stuff in. Next up, classes. In most previous worms games, you could choose different classes. There was the brainy "medic" of the bunch, not very mobile but healed everyone 5 points of hp each turn. The beefy one. Did much more damage than the other ones, but was hardly mobile other than moving left and right. Next it the tiny one moves as fast as a bullet, but does little damage. The complete opposite of the heavy one. Last,y he average one. Pretty mobile, and has average speed. One problem with this in Worms 4. These were completely removed. I would reccomend, but be aware. If you have played Worms 3 you will get SERIOUSLY bugged by these things.

Did not like. Downgrade from worms 2 and 3. The animation is loud and very child like. Weapon system is not easy to figure out. Too much going on with the spinning roulette and all the options.

They basically made another game the same exact thing just different control lay out and look smh

I love this game!

I have played Worms a lot on the Wii, and this is even better! I love the new weapons and campaign, and the graphics are awesome. The controls work surprisingly well on an iPad. This is definitely worth a few bucks!

I love worms and this game is very fun BUT, I bought this game to play asynchronous multiplayer like in Worms 3 and its not there! The main selling point for worms especially in mobile version is asynchronous multiplayer which worms is totally built for, why wouldnt you put it in. Huge let down.
